Professors Rivoli and Quinn will teach and assist with M.B.A. curriculum development at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in Shanghai, China, from February 2002 to May 2002.

"I hope to establish relationships to facilitate research in Chinese businesses and to lay the groundwork for future Georgetown M.B.A. residencies in China," says Rivoli, who chose China because of her interest in emerging economies. China was also a natural choice for Quinn, who researches the connections between democracy and market liberalization.

The Fulbright Program, America's flagship international educational exchange program, is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, United States Department of State. Nationwide, approximately 800 U.S. faculty and professionals received Fulbright grants to lecture or conduct research abroad. Since its inception in 1946, approximately 82,000 U.S. and foreign scholars have participated in the program.

Georgetown University School of Business was established in 1957, and began offering a M.B.A. program in 1981. In 1998, the school was renamed The Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business. Approximately 1350 undergraduates and 520 M.B.A. students are enrolled at McDonough.
