The Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) has declared Dr. Douglas McCabe the winner of an Excellence in Education award, in recognition of his outstanding teaching of labor relations, human resource management and organizational behavior. LERA will recognize McCabe and present him with an honorary plaque at their annual meeting in New Orleans on January 5. After a careful review of his portfolio and achievements, the award committee unanimously voted in favor of McCabe. The professor, who has been with the McDonough School of Business for over two decades, was recognized in particular for his longstanding commitment to teaching, excellence in the classroom and impact on students.
McCabe has authored more than 200 articles, papers, monographs, and speeches presented at professional and scholarly meetings in the field of employee relations, also serving as Associate Editor for International Management of the Journal of Business Ethics as well as on 23 Editorial Boards of scholarly and professional journals. He is also the two-time recipient of the Joseph F. LeMoine Award for Undergraduate and Graduate Teaching Excellence.
