Each incoming class in The McDonough School of Business is comprised of approximately 300 students. In addition, we annually welcome a group of roughly 50 transfer students from across the country and throughout the world.
The MSB at a Glance:
The MSB student population is represented by all 50 states and over 50 foreign countries! We are truly an inclusive, international community.
Admissions: As a prospective student, we encourage you to not only familiarize yourself with the undergraduate admissions process, but also the following aspects of the Georgetown community.
Curriculum: The Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business is a first-class business school in a world-class capital. As such, we offer a challenging and innovative curriculum that leads to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree. While in the MSB, students complete a sizeable liberal arts curriculum, requisite (core) business courses, and specific classes in one of six majors: Accounting, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, and Operations & Information Management.
Faculty: MSB faculty are both nationally and internationally recognized. They teach at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive program levels while also serving as consultants and experts in their respective fields. It is not uncommon to see our faculty on television in response to current economic, business, or political affairs. They are well published and thoroughly enjoy the privilege of leading the next generation of Hoyas into the business world.
Student Programs: As a relatively small, private community, Georgetown University and The MSB pride themselves upon the personal emphasis granted to each of our students. Georgetown has a vibrant campus community both in Washington, DC and abroad. More specifically, our community extends well beyond the residence halls, classrooms, or even Healy Gates. The relationship between faculty, staff, and students is second to none. It is one that begins the day you arrive on the Hilltop and continues to grow throughout your life.
Now that we have captured your interest, it is our hope that you will explore The McDonough School of Business more fully in the immediate future. We look forward to assisting you in any way possible, and we are excited to see you on the Hilltop -- joining the ranks of current and past Hoyas!
